“The more we learn about the upcoming Disney film The Lone Ranger, the more interesting the project seems to get. Just the other day, we shared some comments Johnny Depp made about the inspiration for the make-up he’s wearing for his role as Tonto. And today we learned some intriguing news on the subject of the film’s score. The movie now has someone to do the score, and he could prove to bring a very interesting sound to the mix.
Disney announced today that musician and former White Stripes lead singer/guitarist Jack White is set to score The Lone Ranger. While this news was shared at CinemaCon today, which also happens to be the day White’s debut solo album Blunderbuss releases. As White’s known to play multiple instruments, it should be very interesting to see, or rather hear, what he contributes to the movie musically. This marks his first time composing for a film.”
